The Comprehensive System by ChipTimer is specifically used for large race timing with a flat (good surface) finish area – such as road running or road cycling. It is run from a single computer/laptop, and can incorporate a number of antennas or mats.

When making use of the full set of antennas the system can time several thousands of competitors successfully. It can be used for diffrent kinds of events, as long as the finish area is in a fairly even area where the mats can be placed without the risk of damage.

The system is completely comprehensive and can be set up to form a finishing line as well as a backup finishing line. Setting up of the comprehensive system can take an hour or more depending on whether arches will be used to mount antennas to.
